This table grape variety was obtained in 1961 at the USDA Station of Fresno in California.

Synonymy

No synonym is officially recognized for this variety in  France.In Bulgaria, Flame seedless Rg is officially called "Flaim sidles".

Flame seedless Rg is officially listed in the "Catalogue of vine varieties".

This variety is likewise listed in the Catalogues of other European Union member states: Bulgaria, Spain and Portugal.

Table grape variety.

Phenology

Bud burst: 1 day after Chasselas.
Grape maturity: early-season, same as Chasselas.

Suitability for cultivation and agronomic production

Flame Seedless has a high vigor, long shoots and a horizontal bearing, that recquire a sufficient trellising.

This variety is early and is usually pruned long.

Susceptibility to diseases and pests

Flame Seedless is not very sensitive to rot.

Technological potentiality

• Flame Seedless bunches are medium in size and loose.
• The red or red-purplish berries are seedless, small to medium, simple-flavored, with a lot of bloom, a rather thin skin and a firm and crunchy pulp.
• The fruits have a nice gustatory quality.

The only certified Flame seedless clone carries the number 6011.
